Relevant Information: The project investigates the use of a novel high-strength aluminium alloy tailored for 3D printing for an hydraulic manifold for landing gear. The demo has been designed, manufactured, finished and validated throughout hydraulic testing according to aeronautical standards. Demo parts have been manufactured both by conventional AlSi10Mg alloy and by the new High-strenght Al-HS1 alloy. The results of mechanical properties and device behaviour have been compared.

Finishing Process: Machining, anodizing, hydraulic testing

Chemical Composition: Al 5 Mn 0.8 Cr 0.6 Zr 0.17 Fe 0.24 Si
